Booking
Elizabeth contacted me after looking through some of my photographs displayed here,on this website and it was soon arranged for us to meet at her house in Stamford. We talked through her wedding day plans and about their individual requirements as a couple, and what they were looking for from their wedding photographer in Stamford. They were very keen on a 'Coffee table' or 'Storybook' wedding album. Something quite casual with photographs printed on the page so friends and family could look through and enjoy at their leisure. This is something that I was able to offer to her as part of a wedding collection.
Before the special day
The couple had spoken of a special requirement as part of their day. They were keen on having an unframed picture of themselves surrounded by a large border in which the guests could sign and leave a message on their wedding day. They sent me a photograph and this was printed and mounted ready in time for the wedding day. It was arranged that once it had been signed by their guests, it would be delivered to my Oakham based photography studio, to be framed ready for collection.
Also, it was arranged for the Bride and Groom to visit my portrait studio in Oakham, Rutland a month or so before their big day to finalise the details, at a time convenient to themselves.
The Wedding Day
I arranged to meet the Bride at her house in Stamford to photograph her preparations for her wedding day. After which I met the groom at the local pub, (to calm nerves apparently!) and followed the party to The George in Stamford in good time to photograph the bride arriving for their civil ceremony.
After the ceremony, the confetti was thrown and the more 'formal' photographs that had been requested by the Bride and Groom were taken. The George Hotel's monastery and picturesque gardens were the perfect backdrop for the formal Stamford wedding photographs. After the formal photographs were taken I joined the bride and groom in taking a walk around the gardens as I captured some lovely, informal photographs of them sharing some of their special day together. The wedding breakfast, speeches and cake cutting were held in a Marquee set in the beautiful gardens of the George. The rest of the day's photography was held in a relaxed and informal style capturing the bride, groom and guests in a natural and relaxed approach.
After their day
The couple visited my Photography Studio once they had returned from their honeymoon and watched a slide show of their wedding photographs whilst enjoying a cup of coffee. The guests were able to view and order the photographs from a password protected page on this site. They were over the moon with their photos and couldn't wait for me to design their album.
The George Hotel Stamford Wedding Album
The bride and groom chose 100 photographs to layout and design over 40 pages of the storybook wedding album. Once the storybook had been designed an email proof was sent to the bride and groom for approval, to ensure that they were completely happy with the final album before it is hand-made. All that was left now was for them to choose a cover colour and style, and wait for it to arrive!
